Level 1 Improv: You don't need to be an actor or have any prior experience to enjoy this. This is for anyone who is interested in improvisation. You will learn the basics of improvisation, which will help you loosen up, and be more creative. Improv is a great way to improve your acting skills, form a comedy troupe, meet new people, help you get more comfortable in front of a crowd, and have fun.

When: Tuesdays, February 21 - March 27 (6 meetings)

Starts January 25!

In Level 2, students build on the fundamentals they learned in Level 1. They learn how to play more improv games (like you see on “Whose Line is it Anyway?”), and will end the class with a performance in a showcase.

Prerequisite: LEVEL 1

Prerequisite: LEVEL 2

Level 4 students continue to explore long form improv styles.

The Alternative Comedy Theater is offering a comedy writing class. There have been times when something funny has happened to you or you came up with a great idea for a comedy sketch, but you were not quite sure how to put that idea down on paper. The Alternative Comedy Theater is offering an on-camera  audition technique class taught by John Rawley. Students will learn techniques for auditioning in front of the camera for film, television, commercials, and industrials. The cost of the class is $100.
